In this day-long dance retreat, we’ll join in community and explore together what it feels like to deepen our connection to the sacred intelligence of our bodies. As we connect through movement to the brilliance of our bodies, we open portals of healing and transformation and we liberate parts of ourselves that have been longing for permission to come home—to the heart, to acceptance, to love. As we give ourselves permission to move what wants to move, we may also discover something new—some previously untapped creativity, wisdom, pleasure, and joy.
We are coming Home to it all—our humanity, our divinity, and to the song of celebration that weaves it all together. This retreat is an opportunity to enter into an embodied movement ritual, where we can come to rest in the resource of the body, and where we can further awaken our sacred longings, our sacred gifts, and our inner brilliance.
In this retreat, we will engage in several movement passages that will allow our bodies to somatically explore:
A difficulty, a challenge, or an area of our life that lacks clarity, resolution, forgiveness or healing. We can allow our bodies to move both personal and/or collective challenges.
We will open three doorways to Love— Kindness, Honesty, and Beauty—and experience how they support inner transformation.
We will move towards opening up new pathways in the body that bring a sense of spaciousness, ease, clarity, joy, and sacred communion with our inner brilliance.
A note from Alison...
The majority of this retreat will be movement based. The movement will be kindly paced for participants of all ages.
Gentle exploratory guidance will be offered for the movement ritual portions of the retreat. Some time will be devoted to silent sitting, writing, and sharing.
We will gather together at the midpoint of the retreat to share a meal. Please bring your lunch. Some snacks will be provided.

More about Alison...
Alison grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and from an early age was drawn to a variety of athletics that challenged her physical body. While attending her first conscious movement workshop, she was deeply inspired by the potential of movement and dance to support one’s human and spiritual journey of transformation. She is grateful to the lineages of healing that have informed her journey of embodiment along the way, including her trainings in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bio-dynamic Cranial Approach, and Azul Conscious Movement. She aspires to continue this path by offering collective ritual dance space for the purposes of healing and inner transformation, for connecting to others, and for giving motion and expression to our human experience.
Wisdom Flow Yoga was founded in 2007 by Jennifer Lynn. With an engineering background, Jennifer appreciated the inner engineering outlined in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The Wisdom Flow style blends precise physical and mental alignment with free and joyful flow of spirit through the asanas. Structure must align with the divine laws of nature in order to be strong and sustainable, yet too much dogma can pinch off the organic flow of joyful growth. Wisdom Flow Yoga embodies a balance of precise alignments and core-centered movement with a playful dynamic flow that keeps the pathways clean, clear and strong, and the song of the heart coming through. Our classes and trainings offer a set of elegant alignment principles based on the sacred geometry of the human body. We learn to balance these principles in all poses. We learn to ride the flow of breath as the vehicle of awareness to keep us revealing and sharing deeper layers of our true nature. Wisdom Flow Yoga embraces all expressions of love that rise from inclusion, compassion and unity.
