Wisdom Flow Studios opens both its spaces for this dance celebration. Upstairs the music-filled room inspires you to dance; express and connect through rhythmic movement and playful interactions. Downstairs will be set up as a lounge for quiet conversation where complementary refreshments will be served.
This Summer Solstice community dance is a perfect opportunity to tap into the vibrant energy of our inner brightness.
In our Opening Circle we set intentions and create a sacred container for the evening. From there, we flow into our five stage warm up practice, inspired by the five developmental stages of human growth—Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling, Standing, and Walking. This engaging practice is designed to realign us, improving balance and promoting self-healing.
Once our bodies and minds are prepared to embark on our Dancing Heart Journey, we step into a free-form dance adventure guided by a powerful set of musical waves. Drawing from diverse eras and genres, this eclectic musical journey evokes the flow of our emotions and encourages exploration and expression of repressed energy.
The final wave encourages a quiet integration of the energies released from the dance. Our journey concludes with unity as we chant together, grounding us in the present moment, before relaxing into peace and stillness. In our Closing Circle, we share reflections from our experience, deepening our communal connections.

About Devi and Finn...
Devi and Finn Wayman are passionate facilitators of community movement dedicated to creating transformative dance experiences. They have hosted over 300 large-scale dances on Maui. Finn and Devi developed their signature 'Dancing Heart Journeys' dance adventure inspired by their study of diverse movement practices such as NIA, 5-Rhythms, SoulMotion, Open Floor, Hula, and Contact Improvisation.
Devi and Finn believe dancing and singing are profound tools for cultivating joy, connection, and healing—not just for individuals but for broader communities.
Maui Access to Mindful Movement (MAMM) seeks to spread awareness of, and access to, the physical, mental, emotional and social benefits of group practices such as martial arts, yoga, cultural movement, dance, and nature immersion. MAMM’s mission is to show more Maui residents how mindful movement isn't just physical fitness; it's a catalyst for unlocking one’s potential through focus, awareness, and self-regulation. It is an opportunity for social interaction in an environment of discipline, shared principles and common goals. These community activities can be deeply therapeutic. They bring us out of isolation and give us safe space to move together. When we move with intention, breathe in rhythm, and grow together, something more than physical well being happens – fear transforms into courage, isolation into belonging, and trauma into resilience. Blending physical activity with mental presence, helps us calm compulsiveness and mindfully channel our energy; developing healthier social interactions and family dynamics. MAMM seeks to bring mindful movement to more Maui families.
