More about this event...

Our event weaves together mindful kinesthetic practices and somatic elements to create a fully embodied experience. Breath work will support nervous system regulation, shifting patterns of stress and cultivating balance in body and mind. Somatic shaking and dynamic movement will help release stored tension, past pain, and anxieties, opening space for confidence and empowerment. Through song and mantra, we will engage the body’s vibration and retrain the mind toward elevated states of self-remembrance, truth, and joy. Body-love meditations will invite participants to soften into presence and cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves. To ground and integrate these practices, participants will receive a relaxation ritual with essential oils and gentle massage, allowing the healing energy of the evening to settle into the body. Together, these components foster empowerment, connection, and embodied wisdom through movement, mantra, and mindful touch.

What to Wear:
Comfortable clothing you can move, breathe, and relax in…yoga attire or loose-fitting clothing is best. Layers are encouraged so you can stay cozy during relaxation and meditation.

What to Expect:
A warm, welcoming space where women and girls of all ages can come together. The evening will include yoga, guided breath work, somatic movement, and song to support connection and confidence. We’ll weave in body-love meditation, simple wisdom for daily balance, and moments of sharing in small groups to deepen connection across generations. You’ll also receive accessible practices to take home…tools for calming the nervous system, building self-trust, and remembering your inner strength. All levels of experience are welcome.

What to Bring:
A notebook or journal and pen for reflection
Water bottle to stay hydrated
Optional: yoga mat or cushion for extra comfort during seated or relaxation portions
An open heart and willingness to connect

More about Maui Access to Mindful Movement

Maui Access to Mindful Movement (MAMM) seeks to spread awareness of, and access to, the physical, mental, emotional and social benefits of group practices such as martial arts, yoga, cultural movement, dance, and nature immersion.  MAMM’s mission is to show more Maui residents how mindful movement isn't just physical fitness; it's a catalyst for unlocking one’s potential through focus, awareness, and self-regulation. It is an opportunity for social interaction in an environment of discipline, shared principles and common goals. These community activities can be deeply therapeutic.  They bring us out of isolation and give us safe space to move together. When we move with intention, breathe in rhythm, and grow together, something more than physical well being happens – fear transforms into courage, isolation into belonging, and trauma into resilience.   Blending physical activity with mental presence, helps us calm compulsiveness and mindfully channel our energy; developing healthier social interactions and family dynamics. MAMM seeks to bring mindful movement to more Maui families.
